Tracey Specter, PCC, MAPP, Life & Leadership Coach for Nonprofit Leaders & Professionals

Meet Tracey

Tracey Specter has spent more than 30 years working in and alongside the nonprofit sector — as a coach, a board member, a board chair, and someone who genuinely believes in the people who choose this work.

She holds a Master’s in Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and is a certified professional life and leadership coach (PCC). Her coaching is grounded in what the science of positive psychology actually shows: that sustainable change comes from building on strengths, cultivating a growth mindset, and learning to lead from a place of confidence rather than fear.

She has chaired three nonprofit boards and served on more than a dozen. She understands the particular pressures of nonprofit leadership not as an outsider observing them, but as someone who has lived them.

Sunshine shining through a dense green forest with trees and fallen logs on a dirt trail.

Tracey works with a small number of clients at a time, by design. The work she does is personal, and she takes it seriously. Every engagement begins with a conversation about fit, because good coaching depends on genuine connection.

When she's not working, you’ll find her spending time with her husband Shanin, their four daughters, and two sons-in-law. She’s an avid hiker, nature lover, traveler, triathlete, meditator, yogi, and cook.

“I have so much gratitude for Tracey. By leveraging my own strengths to solve complex challenges, she helped me navigate significant change in my professional life and provided practical tools I could apply immediately.

I’m confident her guidance can benefit professionals at any level.”
